Honoring Our Fallen Heros

If you have ever visited a veteran cemetery to remember a loved one who served in our armed forces you probably spent that time under the generous canopies of big, mature trees. These giants help foster the peace and beauty of these resting places, but the cost of maintaining and, where necessary, removing and replacing these huge trees can easily outpace a given site’s budget. In response to this need, the organization Saluting Branches unites arborists, tree care professionals, and private companies who wish to honor fallen servicemen and women every year in what has become the largest one-day volunteer event in the tree industry, Saluting Branches: Arborists United for Veteran Remembrance.

Now Four Seasons Tree Care is thrilled to announce that our own Brian Bruce has joined the Board of Directors of Saluting Branches!

Founded in 2015 by Rainbow Treecare Company, last year’s event united more than 2,200 volunteers to donate 17,600 hours at 45 sites across the country. 467 companies and organizations contributed to the more than $2.2 million dollars in services that were donated that day.

Since its inaugural year, Brian Bruce has spearheaded Four Seasons Tree Care’s participation in this inspiring event, coordinating crews, equipment, food and beverage donations, and formal recognition from local elected officials at the service site, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.

Brian, Four Seasons Tree Care Regional Manager for the Inland Empire, comes from a background of service. His father retired from the United States Marine Corps as a lieutenant colonel after 24 years of service. Brian himself served as a police office for 17 years and lost two of his best friends in the line of duty. Saluting Branches’ mission to honor American service men and women by organizing volunteer and landscape care for the property dedicated to our veterans, is understandably close to Brian’s heart.

We are proud to have such a dedicated and service-minded man on our team.
