The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented event in human history. Today, due to the economic impact of the virus, thousands of families in San Diego County are experiencing food insecurity for the first time. Children who rely on free lunches at school are going hungry, and adults who have lost their jobs are wondering where their next meal will come from.
Now is the time for those of us who can, to help.
If You Can Help
Join Four Seasons Tree Care and BOMA San Diego in supporting the San Diego Food Bank. EACH DOLLAR donated buys 5 MEALS for hungry families in our community. Donate before April 30 and Mission Federal Credit Union will match your donation, up to a total amount of $50,000.
If You Need Help
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and the North County Food Bank chapter are continuing to provide food to the 350,000 people they serve each month as well as those who are now experiencing food insecurity because of COVID-19. The food banks distribute donations at 200 sites throughout San Diego County.
If you need help with food, do one of the following:
- Call 2-1-1 from your phone and ask the operator for the location of the nearest distribution site
- Call the Food Bank directly at 866-350-FOOD (3663)

We are grateful to BOMA San Diego for spreading the word about this important drive and also to Mission Federal Credit Union for their incredible generosity to the San Diego community. Learn more about these wonderful organizations here:
